Welcome!
The Texas Arabian Breeders Association is dedicated to promoting the Arabian breed for all the qualities that have made him endure for centuries. If you are involved in Arabian horse racing, or if you are an explorer ready to embark on a new adventure- there is information in these pages for you.
Texas Bred Arabians win throughout USA and Abroad
Texas bred Arabian breeders produce top horses that also win outside of our state... and in some of the toughest races. This year alone, Texas bred Arabian runners won the premier race at Churchill Downs in Kentucky- the UAE Presidents Cup. And in Delaware Texas-breds are winners of the Alec Courtelis Arabian Juvenile Stake and the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Arabian Cup Open, among numerous other wins at the overnights. In Colorado, Texas breds are winning regularly in the allowance and claiming ranks, setting track records, and Texas breds won the Cobra Derby, the Cobra Handicap. Abroad, Texas bred Arabian racehorses are race winners in many countries including Ireland, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE.
Back on the home front, two-thirds of the Texas Arabian state racing champions in 2010 were also honored with National Darley Award nominations. In 2011, that number went up, with 8 out of 9 Texas Champions being recognized at the national level. This illustrates Texas racing and horses in the ATB program are right up there with the best in the country. And... getting better every year.
