GLOBAL GAMING LSP, LLC named stalking horse bidder in
LONE STAR PARK SALE

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Sept. 15, 2009) – Lone Star Park announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Global Gaming LSP, LLC of Ada, Okla., which is owned by the Chickasaw Nation, designating them as the stalking horse bidder in the sale of Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but this is the minimum bid that will be placed.

It is expected that the final auction for Lone Star Park will be conducted by mid-October in New York by Miller Buckfire & Co., MEC’s financial advisor and investment banker.

As a stipulation of the agreement with Global Gaming LSP executed yesterday, Lone Star Park will operate under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware until the sale is completed.

Until the final closing on the sale of Lone Star Park, the track will continue to be operated by MEC.

(Sept. 16, 2009) – Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie was granted 89 live racing dates for 2010 at Tuesday’s Texas Racing Commission meeting in Austin, Texas, including a 60-date Spring Thoroughbred Season that will cover 15 weeks from April 8 - July 18, 2010.

Lone Star Park also will stage a 29-night Fall Meeting of Champions for American Quarter Horses over nine weeks from Sept. 17 - Nov. 13, 2010. (NOTE, ARABIANS GENERALLY RUN AT LONE STAR DURING THIS MEET).

“We’re pleased with the 2010 dates granted us by the Texas Racing Commission and would like to thank the Texas Horsemen’s groups for their continued support and cooperation in negotiating a well-planned racing schedule for Lone Star Park in 2010,” said Lone Star Park President and General Manager Drew Shubeck.

The sale of Lone Star Park is subject to the approval of the Texas Racing Commission.

Selimanjin also states the Arabian races in France on October 1st, 2nd and 4th are an event that has been established by the AFAC (French Arabian Horse Racing Association) in 2004, whose chairman, Jean-Pierre de Gasté has negociated its sponsoring with the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club from 2008. Thank you Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze brought huge crowds to our sport and his presence was very important for Arabian racing. He came and rode his horse for a presentation at Bandera Downs when Arabians were first getting started racing in Texas. For years afterward, Texas named stakes in his honor, the Patrick Swayze-Leisa Neimi Cup. Patrick Swayze died of cancer September 15, 2009.
