Horse number 1, but in post position 4, is Mikeadors Jules. He's a first time starter, a 3 year old by Kador De Blaziet out of the wonderful producing mare Tiki Destiny by Sambors Destiny. He was bred in Texas by Sam Vasquez who is also his owner, and trained by Juan Ascencio. While this colt's works don't show himself to be a speed freak (42.6 breezing on the 21st of August), watch out for him in this race. His sire has the highest speed figure analysis (78) of any other sires of horses in this race. Also, Mikeador's dam's foal average speed figure is also highest at 74.
Number 1a coming out of post 5 with Jorge Guzman to ride is Lacy Crazy Vaz, also owned and bred by Sam Vasquez. This is a 3 year old Chndaka colt out of the Burning Sand daughter Lacy Jay.
