Attention Horsemen - updated shipping requirements to enter Lone Star Park - Effective Immediately:

Horses originating from any premise under quarantine for Equine Piroplasmosis shall not enter Lone Star Park.

Horses entering from any part of Kleburg County in Texas or adjacent counties (Nueces, Jim Wells, Brooks and Kenedy) not under quarantine may enter Lone Star Park so long as accompanied by a certificate of Veterinary Inspection prepared and signed by an accredited veterinarian within fourteen (14) days and these horse will be required to stable in Barn E-7 only while at Lone Star Park.

Though not required at this time, Lone Star Park recommends that all horses shipping in regardless of origin be inspected by a veterinarian for ticks upon arrival.

We do expect that these policies could change in the near future so please check the overnight and horsemen's information section of the Lone Star Park web site - lonestarpark.com for updates.

Update in Procedure for Exporting Arabian Horses

Horses sold for export need their “official” Arabian Jockey Club summary of race record to go with them, if the horse is to race. If the horse is of racing age but has never started in an official race a note from the Arabian Jockey Club is needed affirming the horse has no race record in the United States.

This $4.00 Summary of Race Record may be obtained at the AJC website (www.arabianracing.org) link statistics/reports. If your horse has never raced just request the AJC send a letter to you notating this. Please remember to follow this procedure as it aids other countries in determining whether a horse can be entered into a race and its International Handicap rating (the conditions of the race).

If you have any questions, contact the Arabian Jockey Club, email Kathy Smoke kks@wcomco.com.
