Other recent ARABIAN RACING ACTION at Retama Park

TM Burn Out

September 24, 2009 - Owner and breeder Todd Moak has a hot one on his hands. TM Burn Out, 3 year old filly by Burning Sand out of FC Bint Chezi by Ala Croixnoire, ran her first race 20 days prior and won by over 13 lengths. Now in her second try she stepped onto a sloppy track and ran away with the win by 3 lengths over 8 rival fillies. The race was for 3/4 mile and worth $8000.

Race notes: Mi Valentine Dancer (finishing 2nd), by Line Dancer out of Mi Melodi by Neros, jumped out for the early lead. TM Burnout (winner) took the challenge with the two running head to head until the stretch. Step Right Up (finishing 3rd) was settled off the pace and made a good advance to take 3rd while Get Her Done came from far behind with a rush to finish 4th. Step Right Up is by Haffir El Rimal and out of the mare Carmela Ku by SX Champion, and Get Her Done is by Burning Sand out of TC Cheyenne by Tomanchie. TM Burn Out is trained by Ernesto Torrez, and was ridden by Roimes Chirinos. Time for the 6 furlongs was 1:21.66.

Brulante

September 26, 2009 - Incredible! If it weren't for Irish Cream AR who scratched from the race due to vet issue, this Maiden race for a $7500 purse would have run with 14 fillies and mares! As it went, 13 broke from the gates in this 6 furlong challenge.

Race Notes: Brulante, a first time starter, emerged victorious winning by 2 1/2 lengths. She ran a steady race from the outside and moving forward well to take the lead at the stretch. Caitsablazing ran on the lead most the race fading at the end to take second. Chkira took 3rd, going 4 wide on her turns and tiring but still advancing from far off the pace. Quick Kittie had a clean rail trip to take 4th on a steady advance.

Winner Brulante is 3 year old bay filly by Burning Sand out of Ammante by Dormane. She was bred in Florida by Dianne Waldron, owned and trained by Dale Partin, and was ridden by Kelsi Purcell. The time for the 6 furlongs was 1:22.80.
