LACY CRAZY VAZ beats through the fog winning the Texas Arabian Futurity, Colts & Geldings Division
(Saturday, December 12, 2009 - Sam Houston Race Park) The $20,700 Texas Lone Star Arabian Futurity featured a field of 11 Arabian colts and geldings going six furlongs on the dirt track. Three year old Lacy Crazy Vaz was the odds-on favorite, and did not disappoint. He stalked the early pace, rallying on the turn to take command quickly and was able to maintain the lead through the heavy fog and mud.

Lacy Crazy Vaz, sired by Chndaka, crossed the wire with a final time of 1:21.83, a length and 3/4 ahead of Macho Maury, by Mucho Caliente. Tuscarora John, a first time starter sired by Line Dancer, bumped in the start and was last from the gates, but got up for third by a neck. Chinaactic, A Sargent General, Dacotah Dancer, Duro, Chriss SWA, Songdaka, Cholly Roger SWA, and Mikeadors Jules finished out the field.
Lacy Crazy Vaz is owned and bred by Sam A. Vasquez, trained Juan Ascencio and was ridden by jockey Eduard Tejera.
